The return of the small format magazine - in a modern way

The Super 8 Web Portal is intended to bring together current filmmakers and newcomers, to present both old and new film projects and to offer a massive online archive of more than 1,000 curated small format films. Active filmmakers and gear collectors alike will find the information they need, with the world’s largest online archive of 3,900 cameras and 3,500 projectors.

Kodak Brings Back Ektachrome Film

"Eastman Kodak Company announced plans to bring back one of its most iconic film stocks.  Over the next 12 months, Kodak will be working to reformulate and manufacture KODAK Ektachrome Film for both motion picture and still photography applications.  Initial availability is expected in the fourth quarter of 2017"

"KODAK Ektachrome Film has a distinctive look that was the choice for generations of cinematographers before it was discontinued in 2012. The film is known for its extremely fine grain, clean colors, great tones and contrasts"

"Kodak will produce EKTACHROME at its film factory in Rochester, N.Y., and will market and distribute the Super 8 motion picture film version of EKTACHROME Film directly"

Film9 is a powerful application for "restoring" computer video footage that has been transferred from film, typically Super8, but any film type can be restored with Film9.  There is an English version, and tutorials about how to use the program.  Visit the link below, and download the Film9 zip file.

Mishkin Productions was a small independent film company with the intent of producing uniquely stylised short films.

With completion of the filming of "Eve's Song" in early 2010, Mishkin Productions has finished active film making.  Instead the focus will be helping out with equipment hire, productions, and general assistance to budget film makers.
